CREATION OF AN ELECTRONIC REGISTER IN THE HEALTHCARE SYSTEM:
\nIMPROVING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF GLAUCOMA MANAGEMENT AND TREATMENT<\/p>\n

Resume: Glaucoma represents one of the major global health issues, being the second leading cause of irreversible blindness worldwide.
\nInsufficient early diagnosis and lack of long-term monitoring lead to the progression of the disease, thereby exacerbating the public health
\nissue. In Kazakhstan, the incidence of glaucoma and related disabilities have significantly increased, especially among the working-age
\npopulation, underscoring the need for improved ophthalmological care. The article highlights the importance of creating electronic patient
\nregistries as a universal tool for improving the quality of medical care and disease management. Electronic registries allow for the
\nassessment of the real course of the disease, therapy effectiveness, treatment safety, and impact on patients’ life expectancy. In Kazakhstan,
\nregistries for other diseases are already operational, but there is no specialized registry for patients with glaucoma.<\/p>\n
